This is the official announcement for AFTERGLOW, a celebration of art, music and community. A community event presented in association with the Greater Vancouver Interactive Arts Society.

Date: November 17th, 2012
Time: 7:00pm till 4:00am
Location: CN Roundhouse and Conference Center at the West Coast Heritage
Railway Park in Squamish, British Columbia.
Shuttle service from Vancouver will be provided – details TBA.
Cost: $25.00 – Tickets go on sale Monday October 15th!!!

Volunteers Wanted!
We are looking for various volunteer team leads (Door, Rangers, Bar, Shuttle service, RV liason, Volunteer Coordinator). Contact Erik via the contact page in the website below if you are interested in any of these positions.
We are looking for your participation!
With 15,000 sq ft of open venue space amidst heritage trains there are many possibilities for you to participate. Do you have a theme camp that wants space, or an art installation, or perhaps you want to be in the fire show. We can accommodate aerial acrobatics and stilters. Anyone is welcome to take on an area – fill out the placement form on the website and we will find you a spot!
Art grants will be available for the creation of new art and for transport of existing art. Details to follow.

An Exultation of MOOP
Congratulations to our dear Ron Simmer on his 3D recycled sculptural art solo exhibition!

Jimmy Deane will show Ryan McCann’s video footage of the Breaking Wave burn at BM this year. There will be a wine bar, music, snacks and interactive robotic toys.

Evolver Vancouver Spore presents a 3hr salon to open the evening focusing on Community Resiliency. Building off previous spores on resiliency and intentional community we will be spotlighting several initiatives that contribute to community wellness & resource mobilization.These will include a report from several of the Burning Man Vancouver groups, a new initiative from Triba
l Harmonix called The Healing Garden Peer Support Network & more TBA. In addition we will spend an 45 minutes in Q & A with Devco founder & coop consultant Marty Frost. Devco supports the sustainability of Canadian co-operatives.

Marty Frost is a founding member of Devco. A recognized leader in the field, Marty has worked in every aspect of the co-op sector: as general manager of a large worker co-op for a decade, as an advisor to provincial and federal government policy-makers, and as a consultant to dozens of new and existing co-ops.

Cost for the Spore $10, for both Spore & Synesthesia event, $20.

Burning Man Lost & Found
Did you lose something at Burning Man this year? if so please send a VERY detailed description to [email protected].
We do our very best to reunite items with their owners until tickets go on sale in January for the 2013 event! don’t delay!
Lost or stolen bike inquires should be sent to [email protected].
We will be shaking the dust off ourselves and the found items for a bit post-event, and putting a priority on getting passports and IDs back to their owners who need them for travel.
Beyond those items turned in, our community at large has many items they found on the playa. Many have been posted to our “ePlaya” bulletin board.
